Connect Instagram to Facebook Page
How to connect or disconnect your professional Instagram account and a Facebook Page for use with Sociro.
Why is this needed?
Sociro uses Meta's official APIs to schedule and publish Instagram content. Meta requires your Instagram professional account to be connected to a Facebook Page before any third-party app can access it. This is a Meta requirement, not a Sociro limitation.
Before You Begin
- A professional Instagram account (Business or Creator). Learn how to switch →
- Full control of a Facebook Page (admin access).
- Both your Instagram account and Facebook Page in the same Business Portfolio.
Note: If you have a personal account, you'll be prompted to switch to a professional account during the linking process. Instagram accounts can only be in one business portfolio at a time.
Connect Your Account
- 1Go to your Instagram profile.
- 2Tap "Edit profile".
- 3For a Business account, scroll to Public business information. For a Creator account, scroll to Profile information.
- 4Tap Page, then tap Connect or create.
- 5Tap Continue.
- 6Tap Log in to Facebook, then tap Continue to review your Facebook account. To use a different account, tap Switch Facebook account.
- 7Choose the Page you'd like to connect, then tap Connect. Or tap Create a new Facebook Page and follow the steps.
Your professional account is now connected to a Facebook Page. You can now use Instagram features in Sociro!
Note: If you select an existing Page, you may be prompted to log in to your personal Facebook account. This is a required authentication step to confirm that your personal Facebook account has access to the Page.
Disconnect Your Account
- 1Go to your Instagram profile and tap Edit profile.
- 2For a Business account, scroll to Public business information. For a Creator account, scroll to Profile information.
- 3Tap Page, then tap Disconnect Page.
Warning: In some cases, your active Meta Verified subscription may be cancelled if you disconnect a subscribed Facebook Page and Instagram account.
